On November 7,Aryn Michelle reached the midway point in her Sellaband journey, as she raised $25,000 US Dollars in pursuit of her goal to record and professionally produce an album.
To celebrate this wonderful achievement,Paul Grundman, of the world renowned Grundman Mastering studios, worked with me and Aryn to put together this very special “Thank You” to all of Aryn’s supporters.
Early in 2010, Gisel de Marco will be rewarding us…her believers, with those magic words we’ve been waiting so eagerly to hear. Those words? “My Album is Ready”!!!
As one of Gisel’s BIGGEST and most enthusiastic believers, I am chomping at the bit waiting to get this invaluable treasure in my paws! In anticipation of what will surely be one of the most incredible albums by ANY artist ever, I am kicking off a series of videos to honor Gisel’s accomplishment. I hope you enjoy the ride!!!
In what could be the fastest and most turbulent finish in Sellaband history, Inge Maria capped off her incredible journey of raising $50,000 US Dollars to record her first professional Album. It’s normal and customary for artists [on Sellaband] who are close to achieving their “budget” goal to enjoy what is known as a “Countdown” chat with their believers, fans, and friends for a few days. However, Rocket Lady, as she become known this past week, soared so quickly to the finish, there simply was not enough time to set one up! In fact, artists will usually have a “Thank You” video ready to release immediately after they hit their goal; but once again, Rocket Lady Inge, didn’t have enough time to complete it. I suspect, she’ll have something special for us tomorrow. )
Inge’s journey into the unknown began on April 13, 2008. Along the way, Inge acquired some incredible support from a couple of extremely enthusiatic believers…MDWH and Andreas. I joined her on July 6, 2008 and have been fortunate to celebrate so many happy moments with her, but I also wept for her during the sad times.
My first contact with Inge was a simple “Thank you” from her…thanking me for the support I was giving Gisel de Marco at that time. She didn’t ask me to invest in her [like many other artists] and it was her concern for Gisel that showed me this was a special human being…someone who was more concerned with her fellow artist more than she was concerned with her own career. That was the moment she won my heart forever!
I am so proud of Inge’s achievement and how she accomplished it…she weathered some very sad times, often so severe, that others would have given up. But she is not one to give up easily; instead, she buckles down and works even harder.
As an artist, Inge is not your typical Pop artist. She brings a whole new style and level of class to music. She has a voice that is so pure, her voice reminds me of how I would imagine an Angel would sound…singing to my soul, as only an Angel could. For those of you who have followed me on Sellaband, you could probably tell that Inge has a special place in my heart, and for good reason. I never told her this before, but she and Gisel opened my eyes…they both showed me just how special Sellaband artists are…they both restored my faith in all the good qualities that are inherent in human beings; but not always demonstrated. Inge is an artist I am proud to support and even prouder to call my friend!
I am absolutely confident that her album will make all of her believers very happy and proud, knowing they were a part of something special.
Aly Cook becomes the 11th member of this impressive gathering of International Independent recording artists and I am so very proud to have her join our family!
In a nutshell, Aly is already a HUGE success in the New Zealand Country & Singer songwriter circles, having been nominated for APRA NZ Country Song of the Year and a finalist in the MLT Songwriting awards, two of the most prestigious and industry recognized songwriting awards in NZ . It won’t be long before she is known in Nashville and around the world. Now “The Pack” has two country stars to howl for, as Aly joins Katie Thompson on the Country Music Scene.
I’ve had my eye on Aly for a couple of months now and it didn’t take me long to realize, that this was an artist that would compliment our other artists in a HUGE way. She’s extremely driven and her style of music has a lot of energy, but still holds on to that good ‘ol country sound.
In a frenzy of investments this past week and a half, BONNIE reached their goal and has become the 36th Sellaband group to achieve this milestone! I’ve put together this “Thank you” video for them and I hope you all enjoy it!
Natalia Safran has been very busy these past couple of months recording her new Album, which was funded by people from around the world who recognized her incredible talent and appreciate her unique style.
During her stay in Europe, Natalia was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm and interest she received from so many people. In fact, she appeared on Poland’s biggest morning show. ‘Good Morning TVN‘ with her brother, Mikolaj Jaroszyk. In this clip, you’ll see footage from the interview, as well as a sneak preview of her new song, “Wonder Boy“, which will be on her new album.
The outpouring of support, concert offers, emails, phone calls and praise she received overseas was overwhelming! I’ve told Natalia in the past, that I always find myself slipping into an incredibly relaxed and almost mesmerized state, while listening and drifting off into her soothing voice and style…ahhhhh….
Well folks, it’s official…on October 15, Celeste was announced as the 7th winner of the highly covetedSEAT competition on Sellaband. You will see the official story here and below:

Automotive company SEAT is interested in helping upcoming artists. Each month, they feature 10 fundraising SellaBand artists on their website SEAT World. Visitors of Seat World will have the opportunity of listening to the artists’s music and vote for their favorite band.
The artist with the most votes at the end of each month, will see an increase of $1,000 in their Sellaban budget, donated by Seat Netherlands.
With this win, “The Pack” is 3 for 3 in the SEAT competition and Celeste now joins BONNIE and Inge Marie as Official SEAT champions!!
