Wolfman’s Review of BONNIE:

Rock and Roll, Up Tempo, Powerful Vocals…BONNIE provides high energy with a nice clean style.  This young and dynamic band from Uruguay has a very promising future ahead of them with Sofi’s Garcia’s addictive vocals leading the way! BONNIE started out as a few good friends getting together to jam and play some music; but there was no denying what lay ahead.  The synergy between Sofi, Lucho, Santiago, and Jeronimo was the driving force igniting the band you hear today.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

Well, all of their hard work is paying nice dividends, because a group of believers from Sellaband saw the same thing as I and funded their first EP, titled, “Showtime”.   Shortly after releasing “Showtime“, 231 investors from around the world backed the funding of their next album, which they are soon releasing!

The One for Me

This is one of those songs that is very catchy and you will probably find yourself singing along and maybe even playing an air guitar! I really love the melody and uplifting rhythm in this wonderful piece. If you listen closely, you’ll be impressed and amazed with Sofi’s backing vocals…she really nailed them and I don’t see how she could have done it any better; this is simply perfection at it’s best!

Come n Get Me

High energy guitar and a great drum beat introduce you to the “rock’in” side of BONNIE. What a great song if you’re in the mood for some great rock and roll!

My White Flag

The keyboards are the perfect introduction to Sofi Garcia’s sensuous, but powerful vocals. “My White Flag” is a song about the struggles involved with a relationship and there comes a point where you just have to give up.  We’ve all been there and when you hear Sofi pouring her heart into the melodies of this song, you will feel her pain and frustration in this intensely moving piece.  This lady has it all…she’s beautiful, has a wonderful stage presence, incredibly powerful vocals, and she will draw you in with her beautiful vibrato…elegant and silky smooth.  I’ve heard many artists do their own backing vocals; but I haven’t heard any do it as well as Sofi.  She nails them each and every time!  The climax comes in the bridge as the keyboards and strings lead into deep thundering drums with the cymbals crashing in a violent storm…the song builds stronger and stronger, and this is where you will feel Sofi’s passionate power, as she releases an incredible energy that elevates the listener to a whole new level.  And then…in the wink of an eye…the song ends with the heart-wrenching cry that only Sofi could pull off.  “My White Flag” should be playing on every radio station around the world…it is that good.  BONNIE is here to stay!

Number 1

The style in “Number 1″ reminded me of a Chrissie Hynde tune, whose voice and style I’ve always enjoyed. Loved the organ you guys! Great beat, awesome energy! Keep rock’in!

Showtime

Another high energy song with some great jamm’in guitar leading the way. You guys are like chameleons, because Showtime reminded of a B-52’s song. I love how you have mixed up the music with your EP! You’ve done an excellent job showing us your versaltility!
